The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in promoting the health safety and well-being of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Youll support daily living activities community engagement and personal development while advocating for individual choice and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
Understands supports and advocates with people we support by helping them live a life of personal significance.
Identifies documents and shares concerns and successes as appropriate.
Transports and accompanies people to activities appointments and events.
Helps with personal care tasks as needed laundry and food preparation.
Assists with money management by promoting independence.
Administers medications and documents information.
Additional duties as assigned.
QualificationsNo previous experience or formal education required we provide all the training youll need!
Must have a valid Pennsylvania drivers license and a reliable insured vehicle.
Able to pass required background checks (Act 33 and Act 34 clearances).
