Job Summary

Bethel School District is seeking appropriately licensed candidates for 1.0 FTE Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. There may be multiple positions available.

We are actively recruiting the best candidates for these positions especially those from non-traditional backgrounds. Bilingual and/or bicultural candidates are strongly encouraged to apply and will receive preferential consideration.

Speech/Language Pathology duties include but are not limited to:

  • Observe screen and evaluate students to determine current level of performance to determine eligibility for services.
  • Prepare evaluation reports and participate in drafting individual education program (IEP) goals and objectives.
  • Provide case management for students eligible for special education including following all state and federal requirements.
  • Provide direct therapy and instruction to students including analyzing reviewing and revising student progress communicating with teachers and parents and preparing classroom for instruction.
  • Develop select and implement direct indirect and consultative services based on individual assessment results and planning intervention goals.
  • Participate as a team member in support of students who qualify for special education including behavior support planning.
  • Establish and maintain intervention schedules for the schools and children with IEP and service plans.

Salary Range: $50285 to $ 101477 (depending on experience and education)

Contract Days: 192

Selection Factors

  • Knowledge of educational programs offered in all schools and of basic educational techniques as required by theposition.
  • Knowledge of the basic developmental stages of a childs learning process.
  • Ability to schedule the workload manage time and meet the needs of students the school or a program.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work with small groups andindividual students.
  • Ability to prepare materials for lesson plans and adapt as needed to meet the needs of students.
  • Ability to interact positively with children and adults andobserveindividualstudent abilities.
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.

  • Ability to safely and proficientlyoperatestandard office and audio-visual equipment as required by theposition.

  • Ability tomaintainregular predictable and prompt attendance.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Possess a valid Oregon Speech-Language Pathology License by start of the school year
  • Ability to implement Culturally Proficient skills and strategies
  • Successfully pass fingerprinting criminal Oregon Department of Education background checks
