This team is responsible for setting the strategic direction of Vision Planning developing capabilities (people process technology metrics) and ensuring effective deployment. We drive continuous improvement within the business to improve Planning efficiency & effectiveness optimizing working capital whilst keeping our customers needs central to what we do. The team is also focused on new advanced technology-based capabilities as well as leading cultural change to drive significant improvement across all business units and regions.

The Manager Plan Capabilities (OMP CoE) is accountable for:

  • Leading capability improvements through deployment of standard processes leveraging advanced planning technology with responsibility for design configuration training and deployment of Supply Planning technology enhancements
  • Supporting the evolution of standards for Planning for all J&J Vision including maturity models frameworks process maps / roadmaps process decomposition and metric standards.
  • Support continuous improvement of Planning process through consistent communications with business teams. Lead and consult Planning/PEX teams through ongoing business requirements
  • Executing Change Management strategies to ensure the success of critical Plan initiatives considering the complexity of the Vision business
  • Support technical and process-based deployments across Vision of those standards to move J&Js Supply Planning capability up the maturity curve at an accelerated pace. Drive value for each of these deployments with strong linkages to higher levels of maturity per Transformational Roadmaps.
  • Establish a clear path for continued user experience improvements through user interface improvements process standardization and Reporting/Planner toolkit design efforts
  • Provide project leadership and support of key PEX initiatives including OMP enhancements ERP upgrade deployment IBP maturity and other Plan / Supply Chain projects
  • Lead Training sessions with base business Plan teams and support development and maintenance of OMP-related Plan documentation
  • Support maintenance of Planning standards within the value streams per aligned Vision Plan processes including issue troubleshooting and resolution process maturity and supply node data governance as the Vision supply chain continues to evolve

Key Relationships

  • This position will work closely with various Supply Chain stakeholders including but not limited to:
  • All levels of the Plan / Planning Excellence function
  • Make Deliver Source Product Management or other SC leaders
  • Enterprise groups (EPEx SCDM SCSS JJT among others)
  • OMP consultants/developers

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years of related Supply Chain related experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Supply Chain Planning experience is required.
  • Strong background / experience in Supply Chain Planning processes and systems is required.
  • Experience in 2 out of the 5 core areas of Planning is required: Demand Planning Supply Network Planning End-to-End Planning Inventory Planning S&OP / IBP
  • Experience with Advanced Planning Systems deployments is required OMP system preferred.
  • Relevant mix of global regional cross-sector / cross-industry experience is preferred.
  • APICS certification is preferred.
  • LEAN and / or Six Sigma Certifications is preferred.
  • Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
  • The ability to effectively manage projects timelines and change management is required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written and oral forms is required.
  • Ability to embed a culture of harmonization and process improvement and value creation across the business is required.
  • Translational planning expertise able to convert business requirements into Plan/PEX capabilities (and vice versa) developing training and aligning capability roadmaps with business priorities
  • Clear understanding of external supply chain trends and emerging best practices.

Other:

  • The anticipated travel for this position is 20%
  • The attendance policy require for this position is Hybrid/JNJ Flex (3 days on site and 2 Remote)
