Equipment Operator

| Rate of Pay: | Band 4: $31.46 - $34.37 per hour (Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement) |

Duties:
| Reporting to the Manager Airport (APM) the Equipment Operator is responsible for assisting the Airport Operations Manager in carrying out the day-to-day operations at Lloydminster Airport in accordance with Transport Canada Guideline TP312 the Airport Operations Manual (AOM) and the Safety Management Systems Manual (SMS) City of Lloydminster Safety Management System.
Duties - Daily inspection of the aircraft movement areas.
- Perform Canadian Runway Friction Index testing and reporting as per Transport Canada and Nav Canada procedures.
- Grass cutting vegetation control and Wildlife control in accordance with the Airport Wildlife Management Program.
- Carry out runway maintenance and minor repairs including but not limited to runway lights and systems.
- Operate and communicate using radio and electronic equipment in accordance with Industry Canada and Transport Canada regulations.
- Perform other general duties as necessary by the Airport Operations Manager.
- All tasks carried out on airside must be performed in accordance with the Airport Operations Manual (AOM) Safety Management Systems Manual (SMS) and Transport Canada Document TP312.
- Participate in the Airport Security Program as per the Airport Security Plan.
- Safely and efficiently operate and perform maintenance checks on all equipment assigned including but not limited to sweepers snowplows and riding mowers.
- Keep accurate documentation such as time sheets equipment inspection forms and daily work records using computers and mobile devices.
Other - Other related duties as required.

| Schedule: | Standard working hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with one hours off for lunch (time may very) with the occasional requirement to work outside of these hours due to weather constraints. On call shift and weekend work will be required. |
| Qualifications: | - High School Diploma or equivalency.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience operating light equipment is required.
- Must be in good physical condition as the position can require long periods of standing lifting up to 55 pounds and bending.
- Must be able to satisfactorily operate standard and automatic single and Tandem axle trucks in accordance with recognized procedures.
- The successful candidate will be responsible reliable with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Intermediate computer skills such as internet email word excel data entry and electronic time sheets is required.
- Understand and follow oral or written instructions and communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Able to read and interpret maps sketches/drawings or specifications and technical manuals.
- Class 3 license is preferred but a Class 5 with Air Endorsement would be considered. An acceptable Drivers Abstract is required. This position is required to operate a municipal vehicle for business purposes.
