2^nd Shift Operations Supervisor (Manufacturing / Packaging)
Compensation: Starting pay $/yr bonuses
Location: Minneapolis KS

Hourly Shift: Monday-Thursday 2:30 pm-1:00am (with a three-day weekend!)

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a coach trainer and leader of a skilled team of 6-8 people encompassing Manufacturing and Packaging operations.
• Ensure we meet customer needs and maintain a high level of service.
• Manage operations in compliance with companys policies and vision.
• Initiate coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all packaging handling manufacturing and shipping legislation requirements.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Physical Requirements:

This is a manufacturing plant environment. Exposure to high temperatures moving machinery moving equipment heights and confined spaces.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Safely maneuver pushcarts and hand trucks.
• Safe operation of powered lift equipment.
• Climbing ladders.
• Sitting standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
• Lift 20-30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to use basic math.
• Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel and comfort working with computer systems.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a successful leader preferably within prior distribution packaging or manufacturing operations.
• Prior experience with setting and following production schedules (or scheduling rules).
• Excellent organizational time management and problem resolution skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up with stakeholders on completion of tasks.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and/or environment.
• Previous experience working in a high-performance team setting preferred.
• Experience with LEAN practices / methodologies preferred.
