Position Overview
The RN Manager Labor & Delivery provides clinical and operational leadership for a Labor & Delivery unit within a high-volume Womens Services program. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations staffing clinical quality and team performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory safety and professional nursing standards.
This position plays a key role in advancing clinical excellence staff engagement and positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight of the Labor & Delivery unit
Ensure the delivery of safe high-quality patient-centered nursing care
Monitor clinical outcomes patient safety indicators and staff performance
Oversee staffing scheduling and effective resource utilization
Support staff development coaching and performance improvement initiatives
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary leaders to achieve departmental and organizational goals
Participate in leadership on-call coverage as assigned
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or RN Diploma Required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
Active Texas RN license or valid compact RN license
Minimum 1 year of recent (within the past year) leadership experience in Labor & Delivery
Proven experience leading clinical teams in an acute-care Labor & Delivery setting
