to support the Manufacturing team in El Segundo CA!

Job Summary
The Electro-Mechanical Technician Senior will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of manufacturing of space flight sub-systems and support equipment. This role requires to work the first shift.

This positions internal job code isElectro-Mechanical Technician. Our team is currently hiring for grade24.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Electro-Mechanical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis

  • AssembleElectro-Mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints engineering drawings and specifications and written assembly and standard operating procedures

  • Use precision calibrated tools torque wrenches micrometers and calipers

  • Perform visually inspect of Electro-Mechanical assemblies to drawings engineering specifications and written assembly integration and test procedures

  • Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications

  • Document non-conformances and associated rework/repair

  • Soldering and reworking of through-hole and SMT components

  • Support conformal coat masking epoxy application and coating

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is Person includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Electro-Mechanical assembly on high reliability products

  • Industry and/or Trade School training

  • Working knowledge ESD IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards

  • Experience with a variety of assembly techniques and tools (e.g. epoxy thread-locker torque wrench soldering iron microscope etc.)

  • 3-5 years of soldering experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • > 5 yrs experience building a variety of component-level space products (e.g. avionics boxes batteries mechanisms optics printed circuit board assemblies solar arrays etc.)

  • IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 certification

  • Experience working in at least a 100000 Class cleanroom environment

  • Ability to Obtain Clearance

  • Ability to travel
