Role: Content & Community Manager

Location: Johannesburg South Africa

About the role:

Were searching for a Content & Community Manager who is on top of the latest social media and content creation techniques and technologies. The ideal candidate will be able to turn around content in a time-efficient manner and possess a deep understanding of the differences between content styles for each platform.

The successful candidate will be an out-of-the-box thinker with expert knowledge of current trends and internet culture and will act as a subject matter expert on social media trends and platform-native content creation prioritizing video creation on TikTok and Instagram

What you will be doing:

  • Researching and compiling social trends ideas competitors best-in-class examples andcutting-edgeexecutions to inform and proposenew content
  • Creating storyboards shot lists and pre-production materials for both site content and social-first content
  • Collaborating with the strategy creative social community management and marketing teams to develop engaging content that resonates across platforms.
  • Capture and edit original video content and have a hand in all phases of video production from pre-to-post (filming editingcolorcorrection sound design etc.)
  • Define and create branded style templates for new and existing social content.
  • Be the driver of ideas thinking ahead of the curve and steering trend curation and thumb-stopping content that makes audiences want to rewatch share and continuously tune in.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Distribute content across platforms andmonitoraudience engagement.
  • Analyzecontent performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Manage the content calendar and ensuretimelycontent delivery.
  • Provide creative input during content planning meetings.
  • Track and manage content performance providing regular reports and insights into audience behaviour.
  • Meet with clients to present ideas share reports and discuss key insights

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Journalism or a related field.
  • 3 years experience in content creation or a similar role in an agency or corporate environment.
  • Expertisein tools and processes for creative assets and content workflows.
  • Strong writingproofreadingand editing skills.
  • Solid understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Strong understanding of frame composition and studio tools.
  • Proficiencyin content management systems and social media platforms.
  • Exceptional time-management and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A strong portfolio of diverse content types
  • Strong communicationskills and ability to take creative direction and bring it to life through video.
  • Willingness to work in office.
