Summary of the Role:

We are seeking a Manager VP Office for the Airlines and Airports customer verticals and for Strategic Programs across the Americas this high-profile role youll collaborate with leaders at all levels for our Airlines and Airports businesses including commercial teams in the Americas region and with global stakeholders in our Business Line organizations. As a key member of the Americas VP Office team you will be charged with providing a broad range of business consulting project management and other support to enable success primarily for the Airlines and Airports customer verticals while also serving as VP Office point for strategic program management across the Americas region.

The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen and will be a strategic thinker who understands the travel technology business model and landscape particularly for Airlines and Airports verticals. The position works closely on an ongoing basis with the SVPs of the Airlines and Airports Sales and Account Executive teams and will have frequent interaction with other SVPs and the overall EVP and CCO for the Americas.

In This Role Youll:

  • Provide expert guidance to manage strategic programs for the Americas region; work in collaboration with Strategy RevOps Americas leaders and other VPO members to ensure effective management and reporting of strategic programs and initiatives.

  • Have a broad understanding of the business across customer verticals and leverage that knowledge to ensure effective management of strategic programs and to recommend solutions/best practices and otherwise influence the Americas region strategy.

  • Take ownership of specific strategic projects/programs for the Americas region. Translate the strategy of the activity into a concrete action plan setting and monitoring targets for the team.

  • Work independently based on management directions. May coordinate functional teams or projects and serves as a best practices/quality resource.

Accountabilities specific to Airlines and Airports verticals:

Airlines and Airports Verticals:

  • Serve as co-program owner with Strategy team for the 5-year Growth Ambition and Strategy for the verticals - including ongoing updates refinement and scorecard tracking

  • Business Line Bilaterals and Strategic Portfolio Reviews (SPR) planning (close collaboration with Pre-Sales)

  • Quarterly Strategic Initiative Review preparation (ensure high quality objective scorecard evaluation)

  • Month Performance Review coordination/support (RevOps leads)

  • Quarterly TU Management meeting material coordination for Airlines and Airports

  • Deal desk planning for Airlines and Airports

  • Airports: ensure agenda alignment and high-quality region content for Monthly Commercial Synch with business line leaders

  • Airlines: ensure agenda alignment and high-quality region content for Monthly Stakeholders Meeting with key Business Line and Tech leadership

  • Coordinate region participation in annual Relationship survey

  • Serve as liaison with RevOps for Segmentation exercises

  • Other ad hoc responsibilities specific to the verticals

Airlines and Airports Leader Champion - support the success of Airlines and Airports leadership by serving as VPO point for vertical SVPs

  • Direct report meeting planning and action item management

  • Planning and executing larger team meetings (including all hands) along with action item management

  • Preparation of internal communications

  • Support for strategic customer meetings and events including leader briefing packs (customer profiles key issues hot button items etc.)

  • Frequent coordination and alignment meetings with vertical leaders

  • Other ad hoc support and special projects as required

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the travel industry with strong knowledge of the travel technology sector

  • Knowledge of the travel technology business model - with specific knowledge of the business model for the Airlines and Airports verticals strongly preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and skills with presenting complex information to executive audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with senior management and team leaders across various functions

  • Experience managing large complex projects with formal project management training/certification a plus

  • Proven ability to manage programs and projects across virtual teams and to drive accountability and results with team members at all levels including senior team leaders

  • Significant experience with program scorecards and managing effective project health evaluation and reporting processes

  • Strong MS Office skills with demonstrated experience developing well-structured PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate complex information

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
