Under general supervision this position assists with communications/marketing and coordination/support of the Towns signature events and outreach programs.
*This position performs duties deemed to be safety sensitive. Employees holding this position participate in pre-employment and random drug testing under Towns policies.

- Coordinates elementary school visits and field trips with elected officials.
- Compiles content and drafts monthly informational emails for HOAs.
- Administers the Towns flag request program issuing flags for purchase that have been flown over Town Hall.
- Coordinates elected official pop-up events and farmers market booths.
- Provides coordination assistance and on-site support for outreach programs like Youth Commissions Lessons in Local Government and Civic Academy and for signature and outreach events as needed.
- Supports the planning development and execution of outreach initiatives and signature events by coordinating and producing related communications and materials including content creation design publication website updates and management of printed and digital assets.
- Partners with the Towns Communications/Engagement team on projects/initiatives as needed.
- Responds to inquiries from the general public and prepares correspondence in response to requests complaints and inquiries as directed.
- Adheres to all Town and departmental values policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the education experience certification and/or licensure required. An equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential duties and meet the necessary employment standards may be considered.
Requires a bachelors degree in English journalism marketing communications public relations public affairs or a related field.
Experience in any of the following areas is preferred: communications marketing customer service administrative support public sector and/or municipal government.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Drivers License issued by the State of Colorado for the type of vehicle or equipment operated; safe driving record and a minimum of two (2) years of driving history.

- Ability to innovate and utilize new technology/tools to streamline processes.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
- Ability to work irregular hours nights weekends and holidays as required.

General and Sensory Requirements
The employee is regularly required to sit stand walk reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects tools or controls. Duties may also require stooping kneeling crouching crawling climbing stairs or ladders and maintaining balance. The employee must be able to talk and hear effectively both in person and over the phone and must be capable of operating a vehicle if required by the role. Vision requirements include consistent near and far visual acuity depth perception peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus to allow a broad field of vision.
Light Physical Demands
This position is primarily sedentary in nature. The employee must be able to exert up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects.
Environment
Physical presence onsite is required. Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office environment. The noise level is typically quiet. This position occasionally involves work in inclement weather including extreme heat cold wind or precipitation. Employees in this position may be exposed to fumes odors dust or airborne particles and work in proximity to moving mechanical parts or machinery.Additional Information
