Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Pharmacist
Location: Manhattan NY
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift: Day Shift 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $80 $89/hour
Position Overview
A healthcare facility in Manhattan NY is seeking a Registered Pharmacist (Level I) to support safe and effective medication management. The Pharmacist will collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal pharmacological care and patient safety.
Responsibilities
Prepare dispense and verify medications accurately and in a timely manner
Provide pharmacological guidance and drug information to healthcare providers
Monitor patient drug therapies for safety efficacy and appropriateness
Resolve formulary and non-formulary medication questions in accordance with policies and procedures
Provide dosing and therapeutic recommendations based on patient age kinetics and evidence-based literature
Educate patients on medication usage including dosing schedules side effects drug interactions and adherence
Ensure compliance with department standards regulatory requirements and patient safety guidelines
Document interventions and medication-related activities as required
Required Education & Experience
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
02 years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy and medication safety
Ability to dispense medications accurately and efficiently
Experience providing clinical dosing and therapeutic recommendations
Patient education and counseling skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow institutional policies and procedures
