Cooperative Home Care is actively recruiting for an Authorization Specialist who will also complete some key administrative assistant duties as well. The salary for this position is $50000/yearly. Responsibilities of This Role Include but Are Not Limited To: - Running authorization verifications on home care referrals and pending clients
- Reporting the status of referral to team
- Monitoring clients for authorization changes or expirations
- Reporting authorization changes or expirations to team
- Enter authorization payment sources
- Maintain most accurate and timely client eligibility information
- Assisting with client authorization utilization
- Serving as a Billing Department backup
Job Requirements - A college degree is strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills to act as the liaison between our providers and staffing team.
- Highly organized and flexible management abilities in a fast-paced office.
- Successful experience meeting deadlines and requirements/regulations for all funding sources.
- Consistency and urgency in communications contributing to efficiently opening client services billing clients for services rendered and addressing timely authorization problems promptly.
- Drive to achieve challenging KPIs.
