Part-Time Front of House Director/ Operations & People Manager
Salon / Studio Environment
Hours: 2030 hours per week
Location: On-site some administrative work
Reports to: Owner
About the Role
We are seeking a Part-Time Front of House Director/ Operations & People Manager to oversee the day-to-day flow of our salon/studio and support both our team and clients with consistency care and follow-through.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating order supporting people and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes. Youll act as the primary point person for operations helping the business function well so leadership can focus on vision culture and specialized teaching.
This is a hands-on relational role that requires presence emotional steadiness and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Systems
Oversee daily operations and workflows
Manage schedules calendars and time-off requests
Coordinate Zoom meetings and internal logistics
Support operational systems and software
Maintain organization of the physical space
Coordinate maintenance and vendor support
Front of House (FOH) Leadership
Provide FOH support and real-time problem solving
Coordinate desk coverage
Support and help train FOH staff
Serve as first point of contact for operational questions
People Operations Support
Support recruiting and interview scheduling
Assist with onboarding coordination
Manage roster updates
Coordinate payroll and insurance logistics (final approval remains with Owner)
Client Experience & Reputation
Handle standard customer service issues
Monitor and draft responses to online reviews
Support reputation management across Google/Yelp
Escalate sensitive issues appropriately
Marketing & Events Execution
Set up and manage events on Eventbrite
Support event logistics and coordination
Maintain basic website and app updates
Support marketing timelines and execution
Inventory Facilities & Financial Support
Track inventory and place orders
Coordinate monthly counts
Support reports deposits and cash-up tracking
Flag issues or discrepancies for the Owner
What This Role Is Not
Not a second owner role
Not responsible for setting vision or strategy
Not responsible for performance management
Final decisions remain with the Owner
