Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified Long-Term Veterinary Science Teacher for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year.
Major Responsibilities:- Implement Veterinary Science lessons and Project-Based Learning activities from curriculum specifically designed to coincide with the Chapter 74 Massachusetts Vocational Technical Education Frameworks in Veterinary Science.
- Teach topics including but not limited to: animal safety fundamentals of veterinary science animal anatomy and physiology health and disease prevention animal care office and client relations pharmacology surgical procedures and radiology.
- Manage classroom affairs adjust to various audiences and learning preferences and promote a growth mindset.
- Apply relevant technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
- Attend staff team and IEP meetings and contribute to committees as required.
- Function as a member and work collaboratively with CTE special education and academic departments in order to integrate challenging technical concepts into a dynamic curriculum.
- Assist the administration in implementing District goals and policies related to the educational and operational needs of the District.
- Maintain a professional demeanor.
- Perform any other related task or duties at the direction of the Director of Career and Technical Education and Principal.
Qualifications:- Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Veterinary Science 9-14 preferred.
- Prior teaching or substitute teaching experience preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
Terms of Employment:- Full-Time.
- Temporary.
- Eligible for health dental and retirement benefits.
Effective Date of Employment:- This temporary position tentative dates to begin March 1 2026 through the last day of the 2025/2026 school year.
Supervisor:- Director of Career and Technical Education.
Compensation:- Salary range ------ prorated to date of hire.
