Job Summary

Financial Accountant

Northern Suburbs Cape Town

A well-established company based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team. The role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a stable organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Debtors invoicing and reconciliations
Capturing and reconciliation of creditors invoices
Cashbook processing and monthly reconciliations
Loading and processing payments on electronic banking platforms
Accounting for payroll transactions and reconciliation of payroll control accounts
Preparation and submission of statutory returns including:
- EMP201 & EMP501
- VAT returns
Provident fund administration and related submissions
Employment Tax Incentive (ETI) administration

Minimum Requirements

A completed three-year tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in a similar accounting role
Proven exposure to IFRS (not GAAP only)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong communication and organisational skills
