ABOUT THE POSITION:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for AEC clients on tax matters providing strategic guidance and solutions.
- Lead client engagements ensuring exceptional service delivery and fostering long-term relationships.
- Advise clients on tax planning opportunities industry-specific incentives and credits to minimize liabilities and maximize benefits.
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal state and local tax returns for AEC clients.
- Ensure compliance with complex industry-specific tax regulations including construction-related tax issues.
- Manage tax audits and represent clients before tax authorities ensuring accurate documentation and successful resolution.
- Develop and implement advanced tax strategies aligned with client goals and industry trends.
- Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the AEC industry proactively advising clients on necessary adjustments.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Lead mentor and develop a team of tax professionals fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency accuracy and scalability in tax compliance and reporting.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to contribute to business development initiatives and expand the AEC tax practice.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- CPA preferred.
Experience:
- 5 years of progressive tax experience with a strong focus on the Architecture Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry.
- Proven track record of managing complex tax engagements and delivering strategic client solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership experience including team management and staff development.
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation:
- Competitive annual salary in the range of $130000 to $185000 based on individuals experience level.
