The RVP F&Bs primary purpose is to assure all food and beverage operations and Member services are coordinated to exceed Member expectations while achieving each Clubs revenue and profit objectives. The benchmarks for a successful RVP F&B are growth in Member usage and food and beverage revenues; reduction in Member attrition; the maintenance of all quality standards for service production cleanliness and safety; employee relations and staff development; all measured by growth in Net Revenues from Operations. Also responsible for the direction development and training of all food and beverage personnel to maintain a high level of quality as well as ensure that each Club adheres to the standards that have been set forth by Invited.
Reports Directly To: SVP of Food & Beverage. Indirectly Supervises all front of house and heart of the house staff including the Food & Beverage Directors and Executive Chefs. Indirectly Supervises: staff in other departments such as House Maintenance etc.
Day-to-Day:
- Maintain exceptional Member Relations and facilities by creating a quality environment through staffing menu development programming service operations and maintenance.
- Develop aggressive Food & Beverage sales marketing and net revenue plans and direct successful implementation following established Invited budgeting and revenue guidelines.
- Prepare an annual financial budget and achieve these goals throughout the year through proper forecasting cost controls labor management and revenue generating programs.
- The RVP F&B is an advocate and ambassador of ClubLearn online Service training and understanding the critical role that Membership and exceeding expectations plays in the success of the operation. Identify opportunities for Member events and food services that satisfy on-going Member needs and implement to achieve revenue objectives.
- Ensure all expense control systems are in place with close monitoring of all department expenses including revenue to payroll ratio. Ensure appropriate forecasting systems are utilized.
- Work with the Member committees and boards to develop and implement Member activities and events.
- Communicate with Members on both group and individual basis to ensure the Clubs exceed their expectations.
- Works closely with SVP Vice President of Membership RVPs of Agronomy Regional Director of Golf RVP Event Sales and Marketing to provide direction and input on all matters relating to F&B operations for their specific areas.
- Recruit select and develop a qualified staff of F&B Excellence Employees to understand the relationships between value Member service and satisfaction and Member retention/attrition.
- Develop Employees for career advancement using Performance Review Systems Cross Training and Developmental Planning.
- Hire quality Employees. Ensure that pre-employment screening background checks and the interview process are properly completed. Administer appropriate compensation packages for Club Employee in conjunction with labor laws. Ensure appropriate on-boarding takes place.
- Create an excellent work environment centered upon teamwork and mutual respect that is expected to focus upon Member Satisfaction and the 3 Steps of Service while producing each Clubs revenue objectives.
- Implement and effectively execute specific training programs timely and consistently to ensure Club staff are providing Members with quality service and product.
- Attend and lead as required all Regional staff meetings National Food & Beverage meetings as well as hold weekly or bi-weekly food & beverage training meetings and special training sessions when needed. Attend line-up twice daily going over the events of the day and Menu items when in a Club
- Partner with fellow Employees to provide the 3 Steps of Service (warm welcomes magic moments and fond farewells) to all Members/guests.
- Ensure service recovery programs are in place staff is properly trained to execute and being properly utilized as set forth by management.
- Frequent Travel Required
- Ability to adapt to changing environments when dealing with potential clients and boards.
- RVP F&B oversight of all Regional Properties.
- Assist on-site F&Bs & Chefs with consistency while addressing issues.
- Ensure proper procurement through coordination and ordering of all products as well as equipment.
- Review and coordinate all labor through scheduling employees and managers from various sources including other Invited Properties.
- Review Inventory Procedures and FLBW COGS Performance
- F&B Standards
- Ensure F&B Standards are met at each Club
- Review Menus Quarterly to ensure priced correctly and with a proper product mix.
- Review Pricing on Private Event Menus with RVP of Event Sales and create strategies around improved margins.
- Improve Food Product Selection
- Ensure Compliance to Inviteds Mandatory Beverage Program
- Help determine best operating hours for each location based on season and demand.

- Ensure Chefs are adhering to Avendra purchasing standards
- Review Monthly Avendra Pricing Trends and communicate to the field.
- Analize quarterly Reporting including Impact Bracket Inflation and Food Flashes. Communicate and create strategies with low performing Clubs.
- Training
- Ensure all Department Heads complete OIT in the first 90 days of employment.
- Properly on board all new Department heads.
- Ensure Food and Alcohol Safety Training is completed for all F&B Employees in the Region.
- Ensure each Club has a training plan for all employees including service safety and salesmanship.

- Overall Dining Experience Pace of Service Food Quality & Variety of Menu Items
- EcoSure
- Continue program as outlined with a focus on Food Safety.
- Monitor Critical Violations and develop action plans for each Club post inspection.
- Communicate effectively the importance of the program to the field and conduct any additional training as needed based on evaluation results.
About You:
- 10+ years in Club management or related field in Food & Beverage Industry.
- Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Food Handlers Certificate Alcohol Safety STAR Service Certification STAR Trainer Certification TABC Certification and CPR Certification preferred.
- Multi-Unit Food & Management Experience
- Responsible for up to million to multi-million-dollar business. Errors in judgment regarding expense allocation could seriously affect the profit/loss position of their departments.
- Deals with highly confidential material (i.e. Member/Employee Data).
- Service STAR Training Alcohol Management.
- Computer literacy required/Spreadsheet knowledge required. Computer skills good communication skills ability to be a strong leader.
