The Role

Were seeking a skilled Body in White Lead Engineer to oversee equipment and processes for the Final Line. This role requires strong technical expertise leadership and the ability to make independent decisions in complex situations. Youll collaborate across teams manage multiple projects and lead technical experts to drive manufacturing excellence.

What Youll Do

  • Travel to suppliers and plants to resolve process and equipment issues.

  • Manage multiple projects and lead diverse technical teams.

  • Analyze and implement product or machinery designs for optimal manufacturing methods.

  • Propose and evaluate equipment processes within your assigned area.

  • Direct the design development and improvement of manufacturing processes.

  • Provide technical support for plant operations.

  • Collaborate regularly with design product and manufacturing engineering teams.

  • Guide engineering support groups and vendors.

  • Monitor and evaluate expenditures for processes and equipment.

  • Lead engineering projects with plants and Manufacturing Engineering teams.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously

  • 5 years of industry experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (planned or spontaneous)

  • Ability to work overtime or off-shift as needed

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related field

  • Technical expertise in vision guidance and measurement systems

  • Experience in Body and Final Line processes

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams or groups

  • Launch experience
