Harness Technician Senior Second Shift – Millennium Space Systems

Millennium Space Systems (MSS) a part of Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Harness Technician Senior - Second Shift to support the Manufacturing team in El Segundo CA!

Job Summary
As a Harness Technician Sr you will work handson with space hardware translating designs into reality and your skill and attention to detail will translate directly to onorbit mission success. Build and terminate wiring harnesses to a high quality and repetitious manner for Spacecraft installation. This role requires the ability to work the Second shift.

This positions internal job code is Avionics and Harness Technician Sr. Our team is currently hiring for Grade 24.

Position Responsibilities:

• Fabricate harnesses for spacecraft and ground systems

• Build and terminate wiring harnesses to a high quality For Racks Boxes

• Explain assembly procedures or techniques to coworkers

• Work and take direction from team leader for project completion

• Confer with supervisors regarding any anticipated production problems

• Crosstrain/mentor new hires.

• Other duties as assigned.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is Person includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Minimum 4 years experience as a technician in aerospace or equivalent highreliability field

• Certification to JSTD001 space .8739.4

• Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail

• Experience using hand tools repairing and troubleshooting electronic components

• Ability to read schematics harness wiring diagrams layout drawings mechanical drawings circuit layouts and parts lists

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

• Applicants must pass a soldering and crimping test.

• Experience working in a clean room.

• Familiar with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Demonstrated ability to use computer applications for work documentation

• Practice good housekeeping tool control FOD awareness/prevention and safety at all times

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills.

• Experienced with all MS Office software.

• Demonstrated ability to perform inprocess verify of work. (2PV)

• 4 Years of knowledge of various wire harness tools to include manual and pneumatic crimpers is preferred

• IPC/WHMAA620 highly desired
