Vice President of Product Travel Industry

Our client a well-established travel company is looking for a Vice President of Product to lead the strategy development and execution of its global tour portfolio. This senior role owns the full product lifecyclefrom concept and contracting through pricing launch and operational deliverywhile ensuring quality consistency and strong financial performance.
As a key member of the leadership team the VP of Product partners closely with Sales Marketing Operations and Finance to shape company strategy guide product innovation and translate business goals into a clear prioritized product roadmap. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and deep experience in travel product development and operations.
VP of Product Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a Product team of approximately 10 team members.
- Drive the creation and launch of 515 new programs annually.
- Oversee itinerary design supplier contracting pricing and margin performance.
- Ensure product quality through guest feedback analysis site inspections and continuous improvement.
- Own product-level financial performance including budgets and P&L accountability.
- Support Sales through product training documentation and expert-level product knowledge.
- Oversee tour operations and guide management to ensure consistent guest experiences.
- Represent the company at key industry conferences and trade events.
VP of Product Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in travel product development operations or supplier management.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong background in itinerary design contracting pricing and vendor negotiations.
- Financial analyses skills with experience in pricing strategy and cost modeling.
- Willingness to travel up to 42 days annually.
- Passion for travel and delivering exceptional group tours.
