About the role

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton are looking for experienced and passionate Enrolled Nurses to join our Day Surgery department on a permanent part time basis.

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in Central Queensland for more than a century. Our heritage listed Kenmore building was purchased by the Sisters of Mercy in 1915 and opened as the first Mater Misericordiae Hospital north of Brisbane on 14 November in the same year.

Salary range: $35.92 - $38.12 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!

What youll be doing

As an Enrolled Nurse you will provide patient-centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse on duty. Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:

• Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
• Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
• Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
• Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
• Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth

About you

To be successful in this position you will have the following:

• Current AHPRA nursing registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
• Prior experience as an Enrolled Nurse would be highly desired
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
• Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative sound reasoning and strong listening negotiation and decision-making skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is delivered to patients at all times
