Job Summary

SUMMARY

Conducts on-site supervision of mechanics assigned to a specific shift. Position has the authority to give direction and guidance to shift mechanics and discipline as needed per policy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Six years of skilled automotive (mechanical and electrical) repair

Two years of supervisory experience.

Knowledge and ability to use word processing database and spreadsheet programs.

Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

Valid Arizona Drivers license

MVReport showing no more than the allowable points against Drivers License as described underGoverning Board Policy: EEB-R-1Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

Must maintain all certifications during employment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Emissions testing Electrical Air conditioning services CNG troubleshooting Diesel certificates desireable. Excellent people and leadership skills.

Four (4) other Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certificates

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

FBI fingerprint background check

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.

Post-offer/pre-employment lift test.

Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with Air Brake within 90 days of hire.

ADOT (Arizona Dept. of Transportation) Medical Certificate and emissions (non-disel and diesel) testing certificate required after hire.

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
