You will become a trusted advisor to both theSpecialistAccount Managers you are paired with as well as our current and future customers. As a subject matter expert focused onInformation Security you will help to deliver People-Centric solutions.

Your day-to-day
TheSr. Sales EngineerInformation Securityis the Technical Lead for the Proofpoint Pre-Sales processincluding:
You will design andarchitectPeople-Centric Security solutions encompassing theData SecurityportfolioincludingDSPMEnterprise DLP CASB Insider Threat Management Endpoint DLPEmailDLPand BrowserIsolation
Work closely with customers/prospects for technical discoverydemosas well as planning execution and wrap up of Proof-of-Concept (POC) and Production Evaluationsin tandem with the account team
Build trust and rapport with customers and prospects in person and be their main technical point of contact throughout the processas a domain expert
Collaborate with the ATG Sales Specialists & Account Teams to develop and execute targeted account penetrationstrategies andregional strategy
Own the enablement plan for your region to get the core email SEtechnical salesteamsconversation ready.Develop and deliver training presentations to peers account managers and other teams within Proofpoint
Work collaboratively with other groups including Professional Services Support Engineering and Product Management to ensuretheeffective operation of the team achieve the technical win and ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
Provide valuable customer insight and real-world experiences to Product Management Marketingand Product Development (Engineering) teams to help keep our solutions the best in the industry
Help develop solutions tocommon challengesandestablishprocesses within the teambroader group and across the sales engineering organization
Job Requirements:
Minimum5 years ofproventrack recordandexperienceselling solutions as aSales Engineerand/or relatedSecurity Architectureroles; inthe DataSecurity domain
Good understanding of the Cybersecurity market landscape and competitionideally in theDataor cloud security domain
Domainexpertisein one or more core security technologies such as Enterprise DLP CASB Insider Threat Management Endpoint SecurityIsolation ZTNA SWG & Proxy
Must have a good understanding of the sales process and the roles and responsibilities of a sales engineer
Very strongtechnical presentation and communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to see and present the Big Pictureuncover business challenges and architect a solution to solve customer business issues
Must be able to thrive in a fast-pacedhigh energyenvironmentandhave the ability towork independently adapt quickly andmaintaina positive attitude
Bachelors or advanced degree inarelevant field or equivalent experience
CISSP or similar industry certificationbeneficial
