Job Summary

Position Summary

We are seeking an Intern for the Virginia Talent Accelerator Talent Acquisition Team for the summer of 2026 (10 or 12 weeks based on preference). This energetic self-starting individual is seeking on-the-job experience in Talent Acquisition and Human Resources. Interns will complete a project and develop a presentation to be shared with staff at the end of the internship. They will be part of an organization-wide cohort providing networking and professional development opportunities throughout the summer.

Duties:

  • Engage in diverse candidate sourcing methods including database mining social media and professional networks to build talent pipelines and liaise with clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process
  • Research and maintain up-to-date talent pools for niche roles and challenging markets across many industries
  • Support initiatives that connect talent pipelines to client growth strategies
  • Provide screening and initial engagement support for critical roles based on client needs
  • Assist in other project-related tasks as needed

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Interest in human resources business or recruitment
  • Excellent interpersonal organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Eager to learn new methodologies
  • Software skills using Microsoft Office primarily PowerPoint Excel SharePoint Teams and Word
  • Previous Recruitment experience (preferred but not required)

Qualifications Preferred:

Pursuit of a bachelors or graduate degree in human resources business communication or a related field is preferred.

The intern has the option to work: (i) full-time hybrid working a minimum of 24 hours per week (3 days) in our Richmond office and up to 16 hours per week (2 days) from home OR (ii) part-time in person working a minimum of 24 hours per week (3 days) in our Richmond office.

Salary: Undergrad Students - $15 per hour Graduate Students - $17 per hour
