Job Summary

Summer 2026 Mechanical Engineering Co-Op - Development & Innovation

West Chester OH

Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM

As a product development mechanical engineering intern/Co-op with Trew you will gain experience with many aspects of the design process including product design product evaluation technical drawing and revisions and bill of material creation and maintenance.

Duties / Responsibilities

Designing components and sub-systems that form parts of complex systems.
Analyzing data to determine if design meets function and performance specifications.
Creating and maintaining items and BOM structure.
Producing high quality 3D modelling drawings.
Working directly with lead engineers.
Producing design and cost estimation.

Required Skills / Abilities

Strong people skills with the ability to work effectively with other organizations and individuals at all levels.
The ability to learn quickly and a desire to broaden your skills and experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education & Experience

Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical preferred).

Work Environment

This is primarily a desk-based role requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly desk-based mobility within the office manufacturing facility and customer sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues.

Physical Requirements

Required to stand walk and sit; talk and hear both in person and by telephone; use hands and fingers reach with hands and arms for the use of tools to assemble heavy equipment.
Regularly required to stoop kneel bend crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
Travel less than 10%.
