Location: Brooklyn NY
Duration: 7 Weeks
Schedule: Varied Shifts 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: Up to $28/hour
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support hospital pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. The ideal candidate will assist with medication preparation distribution and inventory management while ensuring full compliance with federal state and local pharmacy regulations. This role requires flexibility to rotate assignments shifts and satellite locations based on departmental needs.
Key Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists with the preparation dispensing and distribution of medications
Receive return deliver and stock medications medication carts and pharmacy supplies throughout hospital units
Rotate assignments tours shifts and satellite locations as operational needs require
Operate pharmacy-related equipment and assist with troubleshooting automated dispensing systems
Maintain accurate documentation inventory control and medication records
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements safety standards and hospital pharmacy policies
Perform all duties with a high level of accuracy attention to detail and efficiency within required timeframes
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience
Proven ability to work accurately in a fast-paced hospital environment
Strong attention to detail organizational and time-management skills
Preferred Skills & Experience
Pharmacy dispensing experience
Sterile processing experience
IV room experience
Education & Certification Requirements
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED)
Primary Source Verification of license and registration through NYSED
