Job Summary

Title: Automotive Technician
Location: Clinton IL

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join their service team in Clinton IL. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostics maintenance and repair services on light-duty and medium-duty vehicles. The technician will work closely with Service Advisors and Managers to clearly communicate vehicle conditions repair needs and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair light-duty vehicles across multiple makes
Diagnose and repair medium-duty vehicles primarily GM models
Perform multi-point vehicle inspections on assigned vehicles
Complete mileage-based maintenance services on all makes
Perform recall and warranty repairs on GM vehicles
Clearly communicate vehicle repair needs and recommendations to Service Advisors and Management
Complete and maintain required GM training programs
Obtain and maintain all necessary certifications

Schedule

43.5 hours per week with the following schedule:

Monday: 7:30 AM 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Tuesday: 7:30 AM 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Wednesday: 7:30 AM 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Thursday: 7:30 AM 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Friday: 7:30 AM 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

Compensation

Pay is based on experience and level of GM training
Preference will be given to candidates with established GM training and hands-on GM experience
All qualified candidates will be considered
