POSITION SUMMARY
The Oracle ERP Analyst/Accountant plays a critical role within the Finance team combining strong accounting expertise with advanced proficiency in Oracle ERP. This position ensures accurate financial data efficient processes and optimal utilization of Oracle ERP capabilities. Acting as a liaison between Finance and IT the role focuses on enhancing system functionality resolving technical issues implementing additional modules and maintaining rigorous accounting standards to support evolving business needs. Key responsibilities include safeguarding the integrity of financial operations supporting audits and driving process improvements to streamline workflows and increase reliability.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Configure maintain and optimize Oracle ERP modules to support evolving business requirements.
- Partner with IT and Finance teams to lead module expansions integrations and enhancement initiatives.
- Diagnose and resolve ERP-related issues efficiently to minimize operational disruptions.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency.
- Develop update and manage comprehensive documentation for ERP processes and workflows.
- Deliver training and ongoing support to Finance team members promoting effective use of Oracle ERP functionality.
- Serve as the primary resource for ERP-related inquiries ensuring prompt and accurate responses.
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring completeness accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Support internal audits of financial transactions ensuring compliance with internal controls and organizational policies and proactively recommend process improvements.
- Contribute to budgeting forecasting and financial analysis activities to support strategic decision-making.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelors degree with a concentration in accounting finance or information systems.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Oracle ERP configuration and support.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of work-related experience in areas of accounting and finance.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP modules.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Must possess strong attention to detail.
- Must be a well-organized self-starter with good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to perform multiple financial projects effectively simultaneously.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be available to work nights and weekends as required due to business needs.
- Regular work requires a great deal of sitting and standing for extended periods.
