JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements: BA with a Major in English or Social B. Ed.

The Ideal Candidate would possess the following background philosophy and experience:

• Previous experience teaching either Social Studies or English at the junior high level.
• The ability to work in a team environment with staff and parents.
• A base knowledge of differentiated instruction techniques.
• Effective organization skills and classroom management.
• The ability to utilize technology as an instructional tool.
• An ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans for special needs students.
• A willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom.
• An interest in teaching a wide variety of electives.
• A commitment to continuous professional growth and a strong ability to connect and build relationships with high school students.
• Open to teaching a variety of elective classes that best suit the successful applicant.
