This is a full-time position that can be located in Augusta ME or Portland ME.
Core Responsibilities:
Supervise and develop three Developmental Disabilities Resource Coordinator/Community Resource Coordinator (CRC) positions ensuring person-centered support and services are coordinated and monitored and that member health/safety and Member rights/compliance are upheld.
Lead OADS transition readiness for the Lifespan Waiver (serving youth age 14) including identifying training needs and developing/vetting transition tools and processes for internal staff and external case managers.
Coordinate cross-agency transition work and partner engagement (e.g. within OADS/OCFS and with DOE/DOL/DHHS) improving access and supporting improved person-centered and individualized outcomes for youth/families.
The successful applicant will have an equivalent combination of education training and experience demonstrating progressively responsible work in developmental disability services including knowledge of applicable laws rules policies and individual rights. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and implementing procedures and work plans; using data and quality improvement methods to strengthen service delivery and program effectiveness; and providing training and technical assistance to internal staff and external case managers and partner agencies to support consistent practice and positive outcomes. The successful applicant will also demonstrate an understanding of budgeting and contracting concepts strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency using standard computer tools (including Microsoft 365/SharePoint) to track analyze and communicate information.
Minimum Qualifications:
A combination of education training and experience providing the equivalent of ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional experience in human services disability services or a closely related field including:
Experience leading and coordinating transition-related work for youth and families that is person-centered and person-first supporting individuals receiving services to identify goals preferences and needed supports; includes developing and implementing transition tools and processes across programs.
Demonstrated supervisory and team leadership experience including coaching and performance management to promote consistent practice and high-quality service coordination that respects the rights choice and dignity of people with disabilities.
Proven ability to work effectively across programs and with community partners providing guidance and technical assistance as needed; interpreting and applying relevant policies and procedures; and supporting HCBS-aligned person-centered access compliance and quality improvement.
Preference will be given to applicants who meet the minimum requirements and also have experience having developed and managed developmental disabilities and brain injury programs.
