The Team:
The S&P Global Enterprise Program Management Office and Process COE is a new and growing organization created to foster and lead transformative change across the enterprise. By establishing cohesive program governance and driving excellence in critical business processes we ensure that organizational resources are strategically aligned with our overarching goals in technology finance people and strategy. The Role:

As the leader of the Project and Program Governance team for S&P Global Enterprise Program Management and Process Excellence you will play a pivotal role in guiding and executing the transformative technology vision across the enterprise and in creating a high-performance high-accountability culture. You will develop and lead a dynamic team responsible for governing and managing complex enterprise-wide programs and projects that drive significant business outcomes. You will be a senior member of the Enterprise PMO and Process COE leadership team and you will collaborate closely with senior executives PMO leads and stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

You will play a critical role in transforming and maturing the delivery of large-scale transformative initiatives. Your ability to influence and collaborate across the enterprise will be crucial in delivering substantial measurable change and enhancing enterprise capabilities.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $189000 $250000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individuals geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Program Oversight: Oversee the governance of high-impact programs ensuring value delivery transparency risk management and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Standards and Guidelines: define and refine program standards for reporting KPI development escalation tooling etc as needed to establish an appropriate and adaptable enterprise approach.
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership for the project and program management function ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage directly with senior stakeholders to refine program strategies foster strategic alignment and ensure effective communication of progress and challenges.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-divisional teams to pursue opportunities for strategic impact and operational efficiencies.
  • Mentorship and Development: Mentor and develop project managers and team members enhancing their skills and capabilities to drive successful program outcomes.
  • Change Management: Lead change management initiatives ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new processes and systems across the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Innovate and implement best practices in project and program management leveraging advanced tools and methodologies to enhance performance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven Leadership Experience: A minimum of 12 years in project/program management with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse teams in achieving strategic and transformational objectives.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Proven experience in defining and implementing governance frameworks delivery standards and compliance mechanisms across various delivery methodologies including Agile and hybrid; Proficiency in PMO and governance tools.
  • Stakeholder Management Expertise: Extensive experience working in a matrixed environment and building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of the organization ensuring alignment and collaboration on key initiatives.
  • Strategic Decision-Making: Ability to make informed strategic decisions with minimal oversight demonstrating foresight and initiative in navigating complex organizational dynamics.
  • Transformational Leadership: Proven track record of leading change initiatives effectively guiding teams through transitions and ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
  • Mentorship and Development: Experience in mentoring and developing team members enhancing their skills and capabilities to drive successful program outcomes.
  • Data-driven Decision Making: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret delivery data and ensure governance alignment
  • Problem-Solving and Conflict Resolution Skills: Strong aptitude for managing and resolving conflicts with strategic diplomacy finding win-win solutions and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes open communication and trust.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a variety of program project and product delivery structures and methodologies.
  • Fluency with information technology business processes and compliance.
  • Significant experience in financial services.
  • Experience with building and integrating teams and organizations.
  • Experience driving automated reporting and decision-making using AI tools (e.g. Copilot Tableau Power BI).
