Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Nursing Attendant for a floating Acute Care assignment within a leading hospital system in Brooklyn. This is a fast-paced hospital environment supporting multiple inpatient units based on daily operational needs. The role is ideal for professionals who are flexible dependable and thrive in acute clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality bedside care in an acute care hospital environment
Monitor and document vital signs intake and output
Float between units such as Medical-Surgical Orthopedics and Telemetry as assigned
Assist with safe patient handling transfers repositioning and ambulation
Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing dressing grooming and feeding
Communicate promptly with the Registered Nurse (RN) regarding any changes in patient condition
Assist with non-invasive specimen collection as directed
Maintain patient safety comfort and dignity at all times
Qualifications
Certification: Active New York State CNA Certification (required)
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent Acute Care (hospital) experience
Technical Skills: Proficiency with EMR documentation and manual vital signs
Attributes: Strong work ethic reliability flexibility and ability to work independently in a float role
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for 8-hour shifts and assist with patient repositioning and transfers
