DescriptionWe are looking for dedicated Social Workers for inpatient case management. Under the supervision of a social worker you will conduct diagnostic assessments determine clinical interventions facilitate crisis intervention and psychotherapy and provide education for patients and their families. You will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team in that collaborates to develop and implement treatment and transition plans.
*This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification; Also Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEMP OPT extension program.
QualificationsTo be considered for this position you must have a Master of Social Work (MSW).
Additional Qualifications
- Social Workers are preferred to have an LCSW license but it is not required in the inpatient setting.
- Advanced knowledge of mental illness personality development knowledge of the types of treatment and skills in conducting individual group and family therapy.
- Knowledge of adjustment to medical diagnosis and chronic disease.
- Strong human relation skills to interact with patients patients family members consultants residents hospital personnel community agencies and other resources.
- Psychosocial diagnostic skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and in written form.
- Valid drivers license.
