Global Indirect Category Manager (Marketing and HR Services)

We are looking for a Global Indirect Category Manager (Marketing and HR Services).

What will you do

In this role the personis responsible formaximizing procurement leverage across the entire global portfolio of Johnson Controls product businesses service business and functions.

Also this person will support the corporate services categories as needed and as assigned by the manager.

This role is within the Indirect Procurement Professional Services group.

Howwill youdo it

• Develop and lead implementation of global category procurement strategies for assigned Indirect Procurement Corporate Services categories.

• Lead both traditional and non-traditional supplier procurement activities ensuringtimelyexecution and focusing upon global and regional solutions which improve services and reduce costs.

• Facilitate supplier procurement process and negotiations relative to business requirements and cost maximizing Johnson Controls leverage and negotiation position.

• Lead supplier contracting negotiations and execution collaborating with Corporate Legal for escalation of certain risk-related terms and conditions.

• Identifydevelopandmaintainrelationships with internal stakeholdersincluding JCI Sr. Executivesand regional/local procurement teamsto increase engagement and develop a robust procurement project pipeline.

• For each procurement project ensure project alignment and drive collaborative procurement efforts with the necessary cross-functional counterparts and matrix teams ( Risk Management HR Compliance LegalRegional/LocalProcurementTeamsetc.) to maximize transactional efficiency and mitigate potential risks.

• Identify develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to understand the suppliers current services for the company as well as additional capabilities.

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of business and functional strategic roadmaps and resulting business requirements as related to assigned categories.

• Drive cost-out targets for the supply management organization; calculate and report savings.

• Drive complianceofenterprise agreements.

• Assistwith keysupplierissue resolution and risk mitigation asrequired.

• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of marketplace benchmarks and industry best practices for assigned categories.

What are we looking for

• Bachelors degree (B.S.) isrequired.

• Advanceddegreein business and/or legalishighly desirable.

• 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience isrequired.

• Strong relationship management skillsanda demonstratedability toinfluence without authority.

• Operational and/or procurement experiencewithCorporate Services Categories;HR Services and Marketing experienceis strongly preferred.

• Significant contracting experience (negotiation implementation management of agreements) isrequired.

• Extensive project management experiencewith the ability toidentifyand implement demand management opportunitiesand/or PMP certification is preferred.

• Strong understanding of business processes capital expenditures financial budgeting and key financial indicators (i.e. ROI IRR NPV).

• Prior experience with procurement digitization efforts and the use of AI is preferred.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally a few times a year for 1-2 weeks at a time.

• MBA or other graduate-level degree preferred.
