This role is responsible for overseeing and supporting the planning design and technology system implementation of complex projects for the New St. Pauls Hospital (NSP) including project planning project management communications and contract management. The role also has responsibility for the integration of planning and design with the IMIT and clinical business models to ensure that the delivery of health services meet the NSP goals and objectives. This position supervises assigned staff and provides leadership by directing work teams contractors and consultants to ensure accountability communication and performance.
The ideal candidate brings proven expertise in large scale medical equipment and IT systems implementation projects with focus in areas such Critical Care Respiratory Services Maternity MDRD and Biomed. Previous experience on a hospital redevelopment and/or renovation of healthcare facilities and Biomed experience would be considered strong assets. The candidate needs to have a strong IT background project management skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. The project manager is a team player who rolls up his/her sleeves with a can-do attitude and isnt afraid to get into comprehensive planning and the details.
In this position you will report to Christina Kwan Program Manager Clinical & Business Systems and be joining an exceptional hardworking team. This portfolio includes leading the IT components for major systems and medical device procurements implementations and integrations. Its a state-of-the-art portfolio and an opportunity to work alongside clinical technical and equipment experts. The overall IT Program is lead by an Executive Director and strong Program Directors who all lead the team with strong vision team values and a wealth of hospital redevelopment expertise.
Please note: This is a hybrid role where the onsite office(s) will be the on the NSPH site and St. Pauls Hospital office located on Comox downtown Vancouver. Regular on-site presence required 2-3 days a week. Following facility service commencement (August 2026) this role may require more than 2-3 days a week on-site at the New St. Pauls Hospital 1002 Station Street.

Education
A level of education training and experience equivalent to a Bachelors Degree supplemented by formal training in project management or relevant discipline plus seven (7) to ten (10) years recent related progressively responsible experience in implementing technology systems from business cases to specification development and implementation of large and/or complex technology system capital projects including experience in:
Project Management Professional Designation or in progress would be considered an asset.
