A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEETINGS AND EVENTS SUPERVISOR AT THEMUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY

What youll be doing...

As Meetings and Events Supervisor you will bereporting directly to the Floor Manager. Youll take full ownership of theMeetings and Events Department.

  • You will foster a fantastic relationship with our clients gaining their trust at every touch point adding the Municipal personal touch encouraging and repeat business.
  • You will ensure a smooth execution of events to enhance guests experience.
  • Overseethe daily operations of meetings and events ensuring seamless setupexecution and breakdown.
  • Superviseand coordinate event staff (banquet servers set-up teams AV techniciansetc.) during events.
  • Ensureall event spaces are set up according to specifications and hotel standards.
  • Serveas the primary point of contact for clients during events.
  • Ensureclient requests and expectations are met or exceeded throughout the eventlifecycle.
  • Handlelast-minute changes or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Provideguidance training and support to the events team.
  • Motivatestaff to uphold a high level of customer service and operational excellence.
  • Conductpre-event briefings and post-event debriefs.
  • Reviewand interpret function sheets floor plans and guest lists.
  • Assistin preparing event summaries and reports.
  • Maintainevent inventory and equipment condition.
  • Ensurecompliance with health safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Upholdbrand standards and 5-star luxury service protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in events or banqueting operations.
  • Proven supervisory or team leader experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of event operations F&B service and guest engagement.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays.

Desirable Traits:

  • A passion for delivering world-class guest service.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Positive proactive and solution-focused attitude.
  • Certification in Event Management or Hospitality (preferred but not required).
