SUMMARY:
The Engineering Intern will aid and assist with general engineering project within the Advanced Product Technology department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in testing and/or assembly of new prototyped designs through DFMA
- Assist with concepts and designs using 2D and 3D CAD
- Performance of basic mechanical assembly of components and assemblies. Assist in the assembly and installation of mechanical components such as 3D printed components brackets fixtures fabricated components or off-the-shelf purchased components
- Develop and refine skills related to engineering drawings process flow principles operator ergonomics and performance of components installed into RVs.
- Tracking of data collection activities into Excel.
- Creating presentations to summarize and report out data collection activities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be an upcoming Sophomore or above majoring in Mechanical Industrial Electrical Engineering or another related field.
- Experience with 3D Modeling software
- Experience with the use of Microsoft Office Suite of Products
- Experience with reading and creating engineering drawings a plus
