The base salary for this position is dependent upon experience and location ranging from $77k-$82k.
Team Description:
Avangrids DCULA Team within Operations Technology Infrastructure manages data center operations Unix and Linux physical and virtual servers data protection and storage servers and appliances and database appliances. The team supports operations/maintenance/break-fix as well as new project work.
Job Summary:
General responsibilities include:
Unix/Linux Systems: Install patch and maintain Unix/Linux operating systems; perform compliance activities such as password updates and documentation management; and troubleshoot system issues to ensure stable and secure operations.
Data Protection: Configure data protection policies perform baremetal and virtual machine restoration testing install and manage data protection clients execute compliance tasks and provide troubleshooting and maintenance support.
Storage Appliances: Configure and provision storage appliances apply patches and updates maintain compliance standards and resolve hardware or software issues within the storage environment.
Database Appliances: Perform patching compliance activities troubleshooting and routine maintenance on database appliance systems.
Data Center Operations: Execute rackandstack tasks conduct routine data center inspections update the Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) system and configure Power Distribution Units (PDUs) to support reliable data center functionality.
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and/or Information Technology
Less than 2 years of work experience
Rotations:
Rotation 1 - 6 Months - Data Center Team
Rotation 2 - 6 Months - Data Protection and Storage Team
Rotation 3 - 6 Months - Unix/Linux Team
Rotation 4 - 6 Months - International Rotation
