Job Summary
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Job Summary
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing project costs preparing quantity take-offs monitoring budgets and ensuring accurate financial control throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves close coordination with project teams to support cost efficiency timely settlements and compliance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates based on drawings and specifications
Responsible for monthly project quantity settlements and project cost calculations
Monitor project budgets cost variations and cash flow forecasts
Prepare interim valuations progress claims and final accounts
Analyze BOQs contracts and tender documents for accuracy and compliance
Track material quantities labor costs and subcontractor payments
Evaluate variations claims and change orders in coordination with site and project teams
Maintain accurate cost records and financial reports for management review
Coordinate with engineers architects contractors and consultants on cost-related matters
Ensure cost control measures are implemented without compromising project quality
Essential Qualifications
Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering or related discipline
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or infrastructure projects
Experience working on commercial residential or industrial projects is preferred
Skills & Competencies
Proficient in CAD operations (AutoCAD or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation rate analysis and cost estimation
Excellent understanding of construction methods materials and contracts
Strong numerical analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
Good communication and coordination skills
Proficiency in MS Excel and cost management tools
