About the Unit

Patients come by way of their own bed from the various units in the hospital except the critical care areas. The unit can accommodate up to 4 patients at a time. The department also has portable capability to treat patients that are vented in CCU SICU or other areas where portable dialysis is needed.

Scope of Work

TheChargeLead Nurserole is to provide direct oversight and supervision of all on line unit processes. This is inclusive of but not limited to staffing and scheduling changes affecting current shift patient care issues and concerns. Appropriate allocation of resources responding to all codes and handling employee issues and addition to ensuring consistent flow of patients through the department. Functions within the framework of policies and procedures of the hospital and demonstrates growth/development.

Qualifications

• Required Associates Degree or equivalent Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associates degree or equivalent.
• Required Bachelors Degree For new hires or recent promotions with ADN or Diploma must complete BSN within 5 years of hire.

• 2 years of relevant experience recent nursing experience. Required
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
• AHA ARC or Canadian Heart and Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
