The department of Education requires a Part Time Sessional from December 15 2025 - April 30 2025

RequirementsThe successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) in a related field and significant experience in early childhood development. Instruction and/or research at the post-secondary level is an asset. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:
- Demonstrated success and professionalism in Early Childhood Education including teaching child care or a child development specialization and an understanding of early childhood development and pedagogy.
- Experience in the Alberta Early Learning and Child Care system and knowledge ofthe northern Alberta context is an asset.
- Highly qualified faculty who seek to continuously improve instruction and meet the need of learners.
- Candidates must be able to apply different instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles.
- Knowledge of Northwestern Polytechnic courses and current educational technologies commonly found in classrooms (e.g. videoconferencing D2L) are desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Willingness to work with the Teaching & Learning Centre.
- Student Focused.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high level of integrity professionalism and accountability.
