Job Summary
We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented CSSD Technician to join our team at the Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai. You will ensure the sterility and quality assurance of surgical instruments and other medical supplies prepare packs for surgeries and procedures and maintain sterility in all processes. This role is crucial to the overall performance of the department and the safety of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Reprocessing of Surgical Instruments and Drapes
- Receive instruments linen and dressing material in good condition and quantity.
- Wash instruments as per protocol.
- Prepare and sterilize packs for surgeries and procedures.
- Issue sterile packs to the user department against requisition.
- Quality Control Management
- Check physical chemical and biological indicators before issuing sterile packs.
- Run diagnostic cycles as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Ensure sterile area sampling is conducted weekly and confirms no microbial growth.
- Ensure all checklists are followed and acknowledged.
- Effective Sterile Supply Management
- Maintain and manage the sterile stock ensuring replenishment when necessary.
- Update stock levels daily to meet departmental needs.
- Issue sterile supplies against departmental requirements.
- Graduate in Science from a recognized university.
- Knowledge in Microbiology is an advantage.
