- Focuses on Respiratory Therapy and Valley View system to obtain Safety Quality and Financial goals for the entire organization.
- Supports the Operations of Respiratory Therapy and other departments as requested.
- Provides leadership by working cooperatively with other clinical personnel while maintaining standards of professional practice.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the daily clinical workflow and staffing for Respiratory Therapy.
- Assesses and manages the efficiency of workflow and adjusts staffing assignments personal daily schedule as necessary to assure workflow processes proceed smoothly and efficiently.
- Manages daily Respiratory therapist and support staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage for patient care.
- Serves as liaison regarding coordination of patient care and resolution of issues.
- Collaborates with the Inpatient Services Director to create implement and evaluate Quality Improvement Projects in Respiratory that correspond to organizational initiatives: Safety and High-Reliability Organization Core Measures.
- Assists with selection and recruitment processes for clinical staff.
- Actively involved with staff retention in coordination with the Director.
- Performs employee evaluations.
- Performs supervisory and correctional feedback with staff.
- Serves as a professional and clinical resource to Respiratory Therapist and support staff.
- Demonstrates professional leadership behavior promotes a positive image of the departments and organization.
- Acting Director as delegated.
- Performs duties of Respiratory Therapist as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Respiratory Care Practitioner Registered.
- Current BLS ACLS and PALS (AHA) certification.
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability in leadership skills: coaching counseling vision or mission development delegation decision making collaboration direction coordination change management.
- Demonstrated ability in management skills: budget financial and statistical analysis business formation performance review capital equipment acquisition and management.
- Demonstrated ability in interpersonal (verbal and written communication) skills: diplomacy mediation goal setting group process confrontation negotiation listening liaison conflict resolution.
Experience:
- 3 years Respiratory Therapist experience substantial work exposure to hospital workings.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
SALARY RANGE
- $97240.00to$145870.40/annually.
- Entry salary dependent upon education skill set and experience.
