What youll do

Design develop and maintain scalable messaging solutions using Kafka
Manage Kafka clusters including installation configuration monitoring and troubleshooting
Collaborate with software development teams to integrate Kafka messaging solutions into applications
Optimize Kafka performance and ensure high availability and reliability of messaging systems
Implement security best practices for Kafka including encryption and access control
Develop and maintain documentation for Kafka systems and related processes
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Stay up to date with the latest developments in messaging technologies and propose improvements
Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for production systems as needed

Whats required

Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field
Minimum of 10 years experience in messaging systems with at least 5 years focused on Kafka
Strong understanding of distributed systems and data streaming concepts
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java Python or Scala
Experience with Kafka ecosystem components like Kafka Connect Kafka Streams and KSQL
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes)
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
