The Multi-Domain Assured Navigation & Timing Applications (MANTA) group within the Mission Critical Products organization is currently hiring a Systems Test Engineer to join our San Diego CA-based Maritime PNT organization in support of the Global Positioning System (GPS)-Based Positioning Navigation and Timing Service (GPNTS) Maritime PNT organization is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines to shape innovative solutions for our US Navy customer.

GPNTS is the next generation real time GPS-based PNT data fusion and distribution system for Navy surface integrates signals from navigation-related sensors and provides users with a reliable and accurate blended navigation Systems Test Engineer will perform a technical role maintaining the GPNTS Tactical strings including software/hardware integration loading software/firmware hardware troubleshooting automated test development system test and factory acceptance test.

What You Will Do
Perform System Administration for multiple network-based systems
Troubleshoot software hardware and network problems
Develop and conduct test procedures to validate military GPS-based systems
Work with Mechanical Electrical and Software engineers to resolve issues
Communicate with leads and teammates on daily tasks to provide team status accomplishments issues and help needed
Develop system and subsystem requirements for complex systems by collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to obtain necessary information for design integration and troubleshooting

Qualifications You Must Have
Experience or knowledge on TCP/IP networking & switches/routers basic electronic circuitry and software scripting language.
Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Qualifications We Prefer
Experience evaluating and mitigating technical risks
Experience with the systems engineering lifecycle including requirements definition analysis decomposition systems integration verification and validation
Experience with reviewing technical drawings and requirements
Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS)
Familiar with Agile concepts and the Atlassian tool suite (e.g. Jira Confluence)
Competence in peer review processes and configuration/change management
Familiar with military systems; tactics techniques and procedures
Active and transferable U.S. government-issued SECRET security clearance

The salary range for this role is 75800 USD - 144200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
