Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with a mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.
About the role
The Emergency Psychiatry team is comprised of dedicated and compassionate mental health clinicians. We celebrate diversity within our workforce and are a socially active team with a genuine interest in each others wellbeing. We set high standards and our team is committed to delivering timely and effective care to individuals in need ensuring their well-being and promoting recovery. We also value higher learning and have our own practice development clinicians who are dedicated to supporting the professional growth of clinicians to provide the best care possible.
This is an incredibly unique and diverse role which branches across four main areas Crisis Assessment and Treatment Triage Emergency Psychiatry and APACER. Unlike other mental health services where staff generally are siloed into one specific team this is a fantastic opportunity to work across a variety of unique settings and be a valued member of a supportive team which provide support across each stream depending on demand.
About you
Approved tertiary qualifications (RPN - post graduate diploma equivalent as a minimum) and registration with the appropriate registering body (Nurses and Midwives Board/Occupational Therapy Board via AHPRA or eligibility with AASW)
Minimum of 3 years post graduate workwithin an acute community mental health setting is highly regarded
Drug and alcohol experience is desirable
Australian working rights satisfactory completion of Working with Children Check and current Influenza vaccination
