Overview
Catholic Eldercare is seeking a mission-driven Director of Operations (DO) for our Housing and Community Based Services programs. The Director of Operations for Housing and Community Based Services manages day-to-day operations evaluates and develops programs plans and manages budgets ensures customer and family satisfaction and establishes strategies to maintain targeted occupancy levels. The DO reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the executive leadership team.
Responsibilities
The Director of Operations will:
- Provide operational leadership and accountability for 10 housing and community-based sites/programs which include Adult Day Independent Living Assisted Living and Memory Care.
- Plan manage and anticipate challenges to financial and operational components of HCBS.
- Evaluate develop and assess programs for effectiveness and make changes or expansions depending on market need.
- Work with CEO to align programs to organizational strategic plan.
- Build trusting relationships with residents tenants families volunteers and other stakeholders in housing and community-based programs.
- Lead resident and family satisfaction surveys and improvements.
- Coordinate with site leaders to plan and manage workforce allocations.
- Contribute to the work of the Catholic Eldercare Board of Directors through community meetings and strategic planning.
- Serve as knowledgeable experienced resource in pursuing additional models and facilities in current or new markets.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Operations for Skilled Care to provide seamless coordination of care across the care continuum.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelors Degree (or beyond) in Business Health Care Administration or related.
Minimum 5 years of recent progressive senior housing management experience.
Experience managing and overseeing Assisted Living Independent Living and Assisted Living Memory Care.
Current Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD).
Experience with Elderly Waiver program requirements.
Highly proficient with Financial accounting software including Excel with ability to prepare modeling and budgets.
Experience with Eldermark software.
Continuous improvement mindset with proven process development experience.
Excellent written spoken and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Curiosity to research and strategically resolve a wide variety of problems.
Demonstrated ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current MN Nursing Home Administrator license or Health Services Executive (HSE) license.
Experience with Skilled Nursing Care.
Active involvement in MN senior housing industry trade associations and industry lobbying.
HUD program policies and reimbursement.
Compensation: $00 per year exempt depending on qualifications. 40 hours per week Monday-Friday during business -person work at local sites across metro.
Benefit eligible with healthcare dental vision and optional coverages. Employer-paid basic life and Long-Term disability.
