Job Summary:

Our client is a leading manufacturer exporter and supplier of high-quality chains for material handling and other industries. They are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer / Draughtsman to join their team and contribute to their precision manufacturing processes.

Role Overview:

In this role you will be responsible for creating 3D models assemblies and detailed drawings using SolidWorks software. You will also need to have a strong understanding of components and manufacturing processes to ensure the accuracy and quality of the final product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize SolidWorks software to create 3D models assemblies and detailed drawings
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve product designs
• Conduct research and analysis to identify the most efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes
• Ensure all designs meet industry standards and regulations
• Perform quality checks and make necessary adjustments to designs
• Communicate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components
• Troubleshoot and resolve any design or manufacturing issues that may arise
• Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and incorporate them into design processes
• Train and mentor junior engineers and drafters as needed

Eligibility:

• ITI or Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year of experience or apprenticeship in a similar role
• SolidWorks certification and hands-on experience with the software
• Strong understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
