About the Program
HealthOPM is recruiting on behalf of a Toronto-based non-profit agency operating a specialized 24/7 residential treatment program for youth who have experienced severe trauma and require structured consistent support.
As a Child & Youth Worker you will contribute to a stable and healing environment using trauma-informed approaches and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support youth safety emotional regulation and day-to-day functioning.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Child & Youth Care Social Services Psychology or related discipline
- At least one year of experience supporting youth with trauma or complex needs
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice harm reduction and anti-oppressive care
- Skilled in crisis de-escalation communication and maintaining professional boundaries
- Ability to remain awake alert and attentive throughout overnight shifts (where applicable)
Assets

Previous work in residential group home or shelter settings

Training in CPR/First Aid CPI or similar crisis-intervention models
- Experience working with youth impacted by gender-based violence or exploitation

Additional languages (including ASL) considered an asset
