What we are looking for:

We are seeking two highly capable professionals with demonstrated experience and a strong understanding of local government functions roles and processes particularly in the areas of animal management and local laws.

Position Roster Details

PN 2579 - Community Ranger - Weekend Roster

This position is a weekend roster where you will not be rostered on a Monday and Tuesday. You will have a Wednesday rostered day Off once a fortnight.

PN 2322 - Community Ranger - Weekday Roster

This position will require you to work Monday to Friday with a Friday rostered day off once a fortnight.

What your day will look like:

  • Responding to and undertaking investigations in accordance with relevant State legislation and local laws and in accordance with Council policies and procedures.
  • Undertaking routine patrols surveys and programs as required or as directed.
  • Assist in the delivery of services at animal management facilities.
  • Respond to public enquiries on animal welfare and management issues and negotiate to achieve positive outcomes for Council and our community

What youll need for success:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Compliance Officer/Ranger/Animal Control Officer or similar; or
  • Demonstrated experience in a non-affiliated investigations based role
  • A high level of customer service experience
  • Proficiency with corporate software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Previous Animal Handling experience

Whats nice to have:
