What we are looking for:

We are seeking two highly capable professionals with demonstrated experience and a strong understanding of local government functions roles and processes particularly in the areas of animal management and local laws.

Position Roster Details

PN 2579 - Community Ranger - Weekend Roster

This position is a weekend roster where you will not be rostered on a Monday and Tuesday. You will have a Wednesday rostered day Off once a fortnight.

PN 2322 - Community Ranger - Weekday Roster

This position will require you to work Monday to Friday with a Friday rostered day off once a fortnight.

What your day will look like:

Responding to and undertaking investigations in accordance with relevant State legislation and local laws and in accordance with Council policies and procedures.
Undertaking routine patrols surveys and programs as required or as directed.
Assist in the delivery of services at animal management facilities.
Respond to public enquiries on animal welfare and management issues and negotiate to achieve positive outcomes for Council and our community

What youll need for success:

Demonstrated experience as a Compliance Officer/Ranger/Animal Control Officer or similar; or
Demonstrated experience in a non-affiliated investigations based role
A high level of customer service experience
Proficiency with corporate software such as Microsoft Office.
Previous Animal Handling experience
